Q: Photo storage

HI

can anyone advise why my wife's photos on iPhone 4 (545 photos and 7videos less than 1 minute each) takes up 1.7gb of storage whereas my iPhone 5s photos (2000+ and 60 videos) only take up 1.1 gb of storage?

If you are using iCloud Photo Library, your iPhone may be automatically managing your photos and videos to optimise storage space on your iPhone (by using space-saving versions), whilst retaining your full resolution originals in iCloud.
