Q: OS X Server sync problems with Calendar and Adressbook

Dear Community,

our office runs an Apple Server (10.11.6. and 5.1.7.), all our team uses Calendar and Contacts services. For a few month now we have continued error messages (little warning signs). Clicking on it calendar says it could not connect to our server "server.our-domain.com" sometime we also get a „502“ CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation. Contacts shows the little disconnection lightning sign. When starting the service at the server anew or manually deleting and reinstalling the accounts at the client it works for a short time, until the warning signs come again. We are totally lost. Can anyone help?

    What do the logs on client and server say?

     

    If you want a guess, in my experience a DNS issue is often at the bottom of this sort of mysterious behaviour. Check your DNS service is working correctly and your server has the correct ip address and forward and reverse lookups are working. The usual stuff.
