With no headphone jack, how do I use the iPhone 7 in my car

Okay, so here is the challenge. I have one power source and one headphone jack, and no Bluetooth. This works perfectly with the iPhones prior to 7. But with the 7, it will no longer be possible to use the same setup I've had for years. I own my car, and I have no interest in buying a new car just to support a new phone. And since this will be a problem for years to come if I stay with Apple, I'd like to see what solutions are available.

So how do I use the new iPhone 7 while keeping it charged and using my cars speakers? Bluetooth dongles I see need to be charged, so that's probably out.

So, looking for ideas that people might have. I can't be the only one with this concern.

It’s almost a certainty that a third party adapter will show up quickly. The new Macbook has a single usb-c port and people asked the same question, “How do I charge and use USB at the same time.” There are now dozens of solutions available for the Macbook and so it will be with the iPhone 7. An adapter with a 3.5mm jack and a Lightening charging port would be my guess. Kickstarter entrepreneurs are probably already working on it.

Several years ago we went through one round of discarding tons of accessories that used the original proprietary Apple connector, and now Apple wants us to spend more on accessories to fix a problem that was never a problem. We have several Bluetooth ear devices but the only work if you remember to charge (one more thing to do).The plug ins are cheap, never require charging, and some have terrific qualities (including noise reduction). Oh yeah, now we can use them --- with the dongle --- and when that gets lost Apple will sell another to you (if you have access to a store). My 14 yo has been trying for three years to get us to stop being ripped off and join the android world. I think the time has come -- it's bad enough that Apple's prices are exorbitant, but to now require more accessories and then accusing dissidents of lacking "courage." Hurmpphh! I never owned a Mac after being offended by Apple ads in the old days (Jobs approach - good but overpriced products, and then insulting you for not buying them). Well, I have found my courage, and after six iphones, two ipads, and a nano, our family is moving on.
