2010 macbook pro 15 restarts unexpectedly

My mid 2010 15 macbook pro restarts unexpectedly , every time i wake it up from sleep it restarts.

Also if am in middle of something it just restarts .

sometime the restarts are too frequent .I see there are many support articles saying that this is because of a defaulted nvidia .

Mac official support says it will only fix the macbook pro's from feb-2011 i baught the mac in mid 2010..It will be highky appreciated if any mac support guys comment on this and help me out.

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test and ask specifically for the VST (Video Systems Test)

Go from there, to make an informed decision.
