When I prepared a Photo Book using my MacBook Pro, IOS 10.11.6 and Photos 1.5, I get an error message on some photos: "The full resolution version of this photo cannot be located or is corrupt. Please remove it from your selection." The "information" on these photos suggests they are 1.1 meg or larger, and they seem to display well without any apparent corruption, and they seem to come from the same batch as the ones that are acceptable.I want to use these images. How can I troubleshoot this issue - find and correct the rejection ?

Are you using iCloud Photo Library with optimized photos? If you are open these photos for editing to force a download of the full resolution image

Have you run any clean up software like CleanMyMac or MacKeeper? Hint - DO NOT - they are dangerous, unnecessary and cause lots of problems with Photos and the entire system by deleting important ites

If you are not using iCloud Photo Library:

Can you drag the photos in question from the Photos Browser to the Desktop to save the preview files? Then import the dragged previews to photos and use them instead of the problematic photos.

Just in case that you cannot drag the previews out of Photos either, ctrl-click the Photos Library and use the command "Show Package Contents". Then try to find the original images in the Masters folder or the previews folder. These folders are organized as nested folders - year - month -day - according to the day you imported the photos.
