Stop Charging iPad While Connected to Macbook

Hello ,

Im using my iPad 1 as a second monitor for my macbook pro. But idont want to charge my iPad from my macbook. I want to stop charge my iPad while connected to macbook.

How can i only connect my iPad to my macbook without charging ?
