Q: Macbook pro safari not loading web pages.

Hi,

I open my safari up and google is my homepage. I type what I want to search in there like normal and click enter.

When I then click on to the link to the the website it starts to load but then stops and says 'safari can't open the page because the server unexpedctedly dropped the connection'. So I shut down the mac for an hour and tried to search again and it still wouldn't work.

ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS???

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

    Hi samtee01,

I understand you are trying to search using the Google website and you are getting an error message that the server dropped the connection.   When you tried to search again is still doesn't work.

Are you having any issues connecting to other websites besides Google?  Have you tried to do a search directly in Safari's search box (where the current website url is showing)?   What happens when you try?

The resource below will provide some steps you can try if a particular website doesn't load for you.

If Safari doesn‘t load a page or webpage items are missing

    Take care.

Are you running any anti-virus or security software, or any ad blocking software. Some ad blockers can cause failed of only some sites to load.
