Q: Static noise on iPad at keystroke

There is static noise at the touch of any key stroke on my iPad. Also static noise when watching video.

Thunderbolt Display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), MacBook Pro, 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7

Do you hear it from built-in speakers, or thru headphones?

 

If speakers, try a Reset.

If headphones, try them with another device, make sure you push them all the way in (it requires a bit of force), then try the iPad with a different set of earphones. This will isolate where the issue is.

 

Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10-15 seconds).
