First, disconnect and reconnect both ends of the HDMI cable. If that doesn't help, use this method to cycle through the resolutions. For ATV 4, hold Menu and Volume down for 5 seconds. For older models (silver remote), hold Menu and Up for 5 seconds. ATV will cycle through the video modes, holding each for 20 seconds. When you get a picture, click OK to stop the cycle.

If your TV set is not receiving the signal, I would assume the issue is with the connection.

First, check your TV user manual re where and how yo connect to ATV.

Second, using your TV set remote, cycle thru all the "Input" choices on your TV to find the one where you connected ATV to.

Good  morning. Thought I would let you know it was my HDMI cable that was bad. Going forward I will use the same protocol as on a car when it doesn't have power. Check the battery 1st always. ATV doesn't send signal , check the HDMI cable 1st. Thanks for your help.
