I do not know my old password to my old email address so I am unable to turn off "Find my iPhone" through settings. It is not helpful when they ask for a password that I have no idea what it is or if they want to send me a verification code to an email address that is no longer mine. I need help!!!!

I just want to get rid of that email address altogether. It doesn't help when I try and reset the password because they send the code to an email that I do NOT have anymore. How is that going to help me. Is there a way to erase that email address altogether? I have another email and password that I use all the time for purchases etc. This is sooo irritating. It keeps popping up on our phones
