My 6XPlus Phone has only 55.4 GB. I thought i was getting 128 GBs. I bought it in August. Apple advertises only 32 or 128 B capacity. Why is my phone different?

My 6x plus iphone has only 55.4 GB of capacity. I bought it in August 2016. I thought I was getting 128GB and that is what is advertised on the Apple website now (9/8/16.) Verizon is the carrier (24.1). Version 9.3.5(13G36) Model MKVE2LL/A. There is something called back-up size 128MB. Is that what the 128 GB of capacity refers to?

MKVE2LL/A is a 64 GB Phone, and after OS installation and configuration of the device by Apple is about +/- 55GB free to the user. The announcement that apple doubled the capacity of this phone with an 128GB version of this phone is an upgraded version of your current phone which will be available for pre order on 9/9/16 and will begin delivery from Apple on 9/16/16, it is currently not available to the public until then.

If you are dissatisfied with the device and you purchased from an authorized apple distributer you can return the purchase within 14 calendar days.

I may be mistaken but if I recall correctly Apple was indeed selling a 64GB version of the phone. What does your receipt say? How about the box? I would talk with the store you bought it from and see what they sold you.
