Q: How To White Balance
Some footage of the toilet show it to be decidedly yellow. It should be white. I select, on the timeline, the toilet footage, and click Color Balance icon in the viewer. A menu appears and I click White Balance. I move the cursor into the viewer and it changes to an eyedropper. I click on the toilet and the toilet in the viewer turns white. Good. The selected footage on the timeline is unchanged. What to do? I tried, with the viewer white john, clicking in the footage with no result. Clicking twice on the Color Balance icon leaves the timeline unchanged. Thank you BTW, I have the "Follow" clicked but don't get an email telling me there is a response. Shouldn't there be?

I tested this. The preview of the clip will remain unchanged in the time line, but when I play the clip, the viwer will show the adjusted color, and when I render the movie to share it, the exported version will also show the adjusted color.
Only the preview odf the clip in the timeline needs updating.
