Q: iphone 7+ and LTE networks

I am planning to purchase the new iphone 7+ but am confused on which model to get.  I am base in the states and using Cricket wireless.  I do travel to Asia often (China & Taiwan), I am going through the different options and see that the CDMA models (A1661) offers the same GSM capabilities as the (A1784).  Does anyone know that if I purchase the A1661 model, will it work in Taiwan which uses GSM bands?  I know it should work on making calls, what I worry about is the LTE data connection.  I am using an iphone 6+ T-Mobile (GSM) version now and I know for sure that it does not get any LTE connections in China.  Does anyone has any input on this?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9.3.4

You can find details for which LTE bands are supported by each model here: http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/

You should be able to use it if Taiwan cellular provider supports GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz). That takes care of your voice calls and EDGE connection. According to this list http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/, A1661 also supports Cricket LTE connection. A1661 LTE may not work in Taiwan. You'll need the other model, A1784 to use in Taiwan LTE network.

Thanks for your input, I did find this website helpful http://willmyphonework.net/.  However, iphone7 models are not listed as of yet.  From this website, I see that for iphone 6S China model A1699 works on all 3 places.  Let's hope apple will have an iphone7 model that has the same capabilities.  I know for sure apple do not release such model at the initial stage.

Wait for website admins update their site to include 7 and 7+. To be honest with you, it is a bit confusing. I'm still not sure what works in whose network.
