Apple TVWhere are the XML files from?

Sep 9, 2016 2:28 AM in response to Bonaire Vision Filmsby Luis Sequeira1,Are you SURE you are talking about XML files? (eXtensible Markup Language)
FCP X uses XML to allow sending material to other programs, or to share projects with other editors (assuming they have copies of the same media). XML files are not video files.
The 30-second thing reminds of wmv files (Windows Media Video). This is what you get if you don't have the paid version of flip4mac.

Apple TVTwo things, did you download the additional content from the FCP menu? And could you post one of these files somewhere that it would be downloaded, like WeTransfer?

Sep 9, 2016 5:37 AM in response to Tom Wolskyby Bonaire Vision Films,No I did not download anything ells from fcp.
I was wrong with my question, I’m talking about MXF files, these are video clips that originates from my Sony FS5 camera (AVCHD codec).
They will not import in their full length and only be 30 seconds long when imported even if the original clip is longer?
I’m willing to purchase FCPX (using now the trial version) put having this problem I’m not sure if I can use this version .

Sep 9, 2016 6:00 AM in response to Bonaire Vision Filmsby Luis Sequeira1,FCP X can certainly handle these files.
As Tom suggested, do Final Cut Pro->Download Additional Content...

Apple TVDid you import these files from a camera card? AVCHD and MXF are two different things, different frameworks.
I'm assuming this is a current version of the trial, 10.2.3.

Sep 9, 2016 6:09 AM in response to Tom Wolskyby Bonaire Vision Films,I don't see any addition stuff to download for FCPX , its running FCPX 10.2.3
I did notice that some of my other MXF files did import with a longer running time that 30 seconds. Let me do a test with new shot footage and see if it will import longer clips than 30 seconds and I will get back to you.

Final Cut Pro->Download Additional Content... should take you to the App Store. If there is nothing there that would mean it has been downloaded already... at least that's what happens with the purchased application. I can't be sure if the same thing is present in the trial but I think it is.
