How to find sim card phone number

I just switch to Iphone and i input the sim card inside. Everything work fines but all my contact number is gone. I have put all the contact number in the sim card. So, I want to ask how to i take out the contact number inside the sim card? When I put back the sim card to the old phone, it shows that all contact number and work fines. Just not on the iphone, is there a way to fix this or i have to input the contact number one by one?

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 9.3.3

If the SIM came from an older phone, not an iPhone, then after putting the SIM into the phone, go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars; then scroll down below the contact area and you should see the link to Import SIM contacts. It doesn't work real good because of the poor way that old phones save contacts to the SIM. Good luck.
