Sep 8, 2016 7:09 PM in response to Alfonsoby FishingAddict,Javascript is actually a key technology of all modern and interactive websites (HTML5/CSS/JavaScript). Disabling Javascript in your browser can slightly reduce your risk online, and reduce some advertising, but will break the full functionality of many sites. However, I'm not sure it really is necessary on Apple sites because they use very modern web techniques that still allow basic and full functionality even without Javascript enabled.
If you want to leave Javascript disabled in your primary browser you could use a second browser with it enabled specifically for certain websites. For example, Google Chrome allows you to set exceptions for allowing Javascript only on certain pages.
Note that Javascript is not the same as Java. The MAJOR threats to your safety when online are allowing Java and Flash to run in the browser. Actually, the other often overlooked threat is all of the unnecessary browser extensions that folks install in their browsers as well.
