Sep 8, 2016 6:32 PM in response to SaiyanNattyby Skydiver119,If i'm understanding you, that's because they are different apps. For your iPad they come from the regular App store, for your Mac they come from the Mac app store and they are different. In the same way if you had an android phone you'd have to download one version of an app from Play, and the other version for your Mac, and they are totally different programs...despite having the same name.

Sep 8, 2016 8:59 PM in response to SaiyanNattyby sberman,To add to @Skydiver119's response, the Mac runs a completely different operating system from iPad/iPhone. The Mac runs OS X, while the iPhone runs iOS. Just as OS X and Windows require different versions of these apps, so do OS X and iOS.

I prefer a keyboard when typing essays or taking notes.
You can overcome this issue by simply purchasing an iPad keyboard.

Sep 9, 2016 3:58 AM in response to sbermanby Skydiver119,There are also third party keyboard cases out there. I've used Zagg ones for my iPads, but Targus and others also have keyboard cases in various configurations.
I'd suggest you shop on Amazon. Even if you don't buy there, they have the largest selection and you can get an idea of what's out there
