I was making a compound clip in of my projects and the programs crashed.
I re-open the program and I read 'Missing footage".... EVERYTHING in that 'compound' clip is gone. How can I get it back?? I've already tried Relink Missing Media. Nothing came up.

Go to a Backup.
Default location is in your Users>Home>Movies>Final Cut Backups folder.

What version of FCP X are you running? Is it still 10.0.8, as listed in your profile?

For versions prior to 10.1, restoring a project from a backup is different than restoring from library backups. You'll need to locate both the CurrenVersion.fcpproject and CurrentVersion.fcpevent files and replace them with the timestamped files that are located in the respective Backups folder. Note that the CurrentVersion files are a level higher in the folder hierarchy. Before you do this, I recommend that you make a copy the full project and full events folders to another folder - just in case something goes wrong.
Consider upgrading the OS to allow you to run the latest release of FCP. It's a big improvement – especially compared to pre 10.1 versions.

First off, thank you for taking time to help me out. You have no idea how important this is and how much this means to me.
So far....
I've located both Backup folders,
To make it easier for you.. ive taken snapshots of what I see within them...
The EVENTS backup folder....
The PROJECT backup folder
In both 'Backups' folders that you see, there is are the doc logos ( the Star in Events....... FCP logo in Project)
They are labeled 20160908-123456-EDT.fcpevent..... and.......... 20160908-123456-EDT.fcpproject
You're telling me to switch those with the current ones you see in the snapshots?
Just want to make sure were on the right page.
