Mouse scroll speed in Sierra

Have InDesign CS6, got a new iMac retina, and the Magic Mouse acts wildly unstable with everything. Especially the zoom, and text blocks "disappearing" after being clicked on. (turned a Layer on and off to bring the view back). Can't select a typeface- except once or twice when you can. Found workaround to all of it, but Magic Mouse was basically unusable.

Got a logictech scroll mouse, which did help on the zoom, but not much else. Got an Apple wired mouse with the tiny scroll bar which seemed to work best of the three, but... everything took 12 times longer and I had to safe after every single change.

Same issue here. Scrolling in Browser (Chrome and Safari seems nice) but some other third party apps seems to scroll hyper sensitive. This is making me mad!!

Same issue for me in the official release !!

I am also having this problem still after official release, is there some way to fix this, or anything I can do?

I am also having this issue in all Java applications, such as Intellij, Eclipse and even on the java control panel. Other apps seems to be fine.

I have the same problem and this is annoying me to no end, I've used the feedback app to ask apple to revert to previous behaviour and linked this thread, can you do the same please so they'll get on this faster?

Same problem here with GA sierra release. Java apps like IntelliJ are unusable. The scroll speed is way too fast.

Same issue here. The problem for me is in Java applications and VLC. Safari, MS Office and Finder work fine.

Do the symptoms exist after performing;

- Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

- How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

- Try safe mode then reboot back to normal.

This symptom only exists in SOME software applications, mostly those without smooth scrolling.

I think this is solely a software issue.

Also having this issue, renders third party apps unusable in many cases. Pro Tools, Nuendo, VLC, everything just scrolls lightning fast without any accuracy.

Do you know what the "some" software use in common?

Does your dyld_shared_cache need refreshing? Therefore -> safe boot?
