Sep 9, 2016 6:29 AM in response to kerochanby octopi,★HelpfulIf Logic is running fine for you now why risk anything by upgrading the OS?
I know Apple is desperate for every user to do every update the moment it is released but remember the computer is there to help you do YOUR work. If you have no other reason to update other than to update, then don't.

Sep 9, 2016 9:59 AM in response to kerochanby Pancenter,There's no guarantee except not to knee-jerk upgrade as you've been trained to do. You simply wait a couple of weeks and check the forums and see what's reported.
No one here can tell you -anything- can or will run flawlessly on your system.

Though there surely should be a guarantee as Logic is Apples product!? it can't be like Pro Tools and the other stuff, this is the main reason I chose Logic, so that when I update the OS, Logic will always work flawlessly.

Sep 9, 2016 2:25 PM in response to kerochanby Pancenter,There's been quite a few OS updates that have cause various problems... so yes, there is no guarantee. One OS release would cause Logic to stall motionless for over a minute (or longer) when using the analyze function of the built-in channel EQ.
Logic users are the beta test team now, you always upgrade at your own risk.
Octopi will tell you same as I will that Logic 9 on an older operating system has far better performance (almost 2x) than the latest OS/Logic release.
Professional standards are higher but Apple has turned Logic loose on the masses and it's now a consumer product. Standards, have always been lower with consumer based products of just about anything.

Sep 9, 2016 2:30 PM in response to Pancenterby Indyuser,There are reports that logic runs under Siera as good as it did under 10.6.
Guess we we will find out soon
minor release updates such as 10.11.x to 10.11.y usually are for the better and includes fixes rather than step function changes / enhancements that could beak something.

Sep 9, 2016 2:44 PM in response to Pancenterby kerochan,I understand, luckily I live near an Apple Store, they would fix any problems if I updated and had problems.
They are really good down there, so I have no real worries.

Sep 9, 2016 7:21 PM in response to Pancenterby Pancenter,Although, I'll have to see proof that an even newer OS is going to restore Logic's lost power.
