Q: Airpods waterproof & bluetooth

Hi everyone, I have two questions on the new airpods.

First, will they be waterproof like the iPhone7 and the Watch Series 2?

Second, will they use the standard bluetooth to connect to the iPhone. Today, I cannot use bluetooth headphones when viewing a movie because there is almost a one second delay between the sound and the picture (I have an iPhone6 at the moment). Will this be the same with Airpods?
