Q: MacBook Pro makes three short beeps and a pause.

MacBook Pro makes three short beeping tones and flashes the power on light then pauses for about the same time as it beeped. This it repeats. I stopped it by disconnecting all externals and holding down the power switch for about 10 seconds. Any thoughts?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

It turns out I must have accidentally opened the RAM memory clip(s) when I upgraded my HD to 1 TB. The upper memory was loose and skew. Carefully, I removed the memory, then reinserted it. Back to functional without beeping.
