    All I can suggest is you contact Apple Support again, explain your situation, and if necessary ask to talk to a senior supervisor.

    From your description, I assume "you" are being charged for additional iCloud storage.  Can't you simply stop payment on the credit card (or whatever)?  I can imagine that Apple may want some proof (death certificate, power of attorney, etc.) to verify you are who you say you are and can act on your mothers behalf.  But, I do not work for Apple so that is pure speculation on my part.

    Hi thanks her bank account is frozen at the moment and there was a DD set up for paying cloud storage,from her account ,i am worried that if i don't get in touch with Apple soon when the bank account is unfrozen Apple could resume taking payments literally indefinitely from a dead persons account?

    You can cancel the iCloud storage yourself if you know your mother's Apple ID and password:

    iCloud storage upgrades and downgrades - Apple Support

    Otherwise, you will need to contact Apple Support again, and specifically request the cancellation. You may have to provide death certificate, and proof of identity, so they can cancel the iCloud storage.

    You need to select the free 5GB option as explained in the link above. That is in effect the cancellation.

    Once that is done, you can proceed to contact Apple Support to close down the Apple ID if that is what you want.

    If you are the executor of the will you may have the power to cancel the Direct Debit at the bank. Sometimes it is simplest to cut the recurring account payments off at the source. Speak to the bank /account manager if possible.

    Just bear in mind when you cease to pay for the data you lose access to the backups or other files that are saved online. Review the account contents before you close it, either iCloud.com or 'System Preferences > iCloud' on a Mac within her user account should indicate the data usage.

    Sorry this is so frustrating for you at this terrible time.

    Yes Drew not one of the accounts ranging from mobile phones to e-mail accounts ,Google ,YouTube or whatever make it easy for a bereaved relative to do these necessary things after a person dies ,what really annoyed me about the mentioned apple guy was that he won't even answer his voicemails yet on the day i spoke to him it was oh I'm so sorry just ring me when you get the certificate and ill sort it all out for you!!!!!!!

    One other thought, as long as you can sign-in as your mother, consider following this procedure on your device (after you sort out your other issues);
