Sep 9, 2016 6:21 AM in response to Metalman01by King_Penguin,You would have to ask Apple why the design has changed. You should still be able to delete songs by changing your sync selection and resyncing.
Or you can delete songs directly on your iPad, or other iOS devices, directly in its Music app or via Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Manage Storage > Music

-uninstall itunes and its supporting programs completely (no, this does not mean you need to delete your library.
-install the version of itunes you want
-delete (or rename) the library .itl file
-restart itunes
