I have lost a song from my iTunes on my Mac but it is on the iPod. Can I restore it to my Mac without reloading the CD. If I sync I believe I will lose it. Can anyone help please?

For non-iTunes purchased music you need a third-party computer app. See:

I use the free iFunBox app.
When I plug iPod into my Mac all it says is "Connected"and there is nothing to change it to manual.

Manually sorry. Problem solved I found the original CD.
