iCloud still full after deleting emails

Hi, I've been told my account has reached it's limit and am no longer receiving emails. I went into my iCloud account on my laptop and deleted all emails, remains 50 emails with no large attachments, simple text. I am still getting the same message regarding email space and my email space is listed as using 6gb.

Where are the emails that are still stored there and how do I delete them?

Thanks

From a web browser, you can go to www.icloud.com and sign in. Go to the settings app and it will show you what is eating up your space.

If you are on an iOS device, go to settings, general, storage & icloud usage, and manage storage and it will show you what is taking up space in iCloud.

I had this problem before and found that my iCloud Photos library was eating all the space up.
