I can not access the files saved in my time capsule for my PC via Ethernet

Hello.

Well i already have my TC 4th generation for more than 1 year, and i used to acess the files i saved in the TC HD usind Wi-fi.

Now i`m using ethernet conection with a Windows 10 PC with all updates installed, and i cant acess TC HD files.

Alredy tryed reseting TC

Configure work group name set same as the PC

Acess by the name of my TC

Nothing worked.

My lap top is also Windows 10 and conected by wi-fi i can perfectly acess my TC HD files there, but on my PC conected by Ethernet i cant.

Please anyone can help me?

Is the ethernet connected and working? ie do you have internet via the TC?

Did you load the airport utility into the computer? That can help too as file sharing on apple networking is enabled via bonjour.

In the end you should not need the airport utility .. it should work by simply typing the IP into the address bar of windows explorer.

\\10.0.1.1 (replace with your actual TC IP address)

If it does not work then I strongly recommend you use the computer that does work.. load all the files onto a standard NTFS formatted USB hard disk and plug that into the computer that is having issues. There are known and as yet not fixed issues between win10 and apple routers.. apparently apple have acknowledged the issues but as yet done nothing.. since win10 came out. Expect no help.

Buy a more suitable PC storage device.
