Hi

When you place an order online, Apple contacts your credit or debit card issuer (eg bank) to confirm that your card relates to a valid account. Apple also requests an authorisation, which holds the funds for the full or partial purchase amount. Whilst Apple prepares your items, authorised funds will be unavailable (ie deducted from any available spending limit on your card) and may display as pending charges on your credit or debit card's online statement.

If you have ordered your iPhone for delivery, your card will only actually be charged after the iPhone has shipped.

For pickup orders, your card will be billed before your iPhone is ready for pick up.

Maybe they only charge your card when the phone ships.  For most of us, that is not yet.

They do (as my earlier reply explains) - or before pickup, for pickup orders.

Me too, the order is still in processing.

Hi Apple never bills you for a pre- order phone until it ships so you should be fine
