Apple Upgrade Program for cricket (iphone 7)

I singed up for apple's iphone upgrade program last year under my at&t account. I switched shortly after to cricket wireless to save money. I want to take advantage of the program and get an iphone 7 for my cricket account. I got an email saying I was eligible to upgrade under the program. When I follow the link to reserve in store, it asks for my carrier but cricket isn't listed. I ended up making a reservation for a t-mobile iphone, but I'm wondering if the store will let me upgrade even though I don't have a t-mobile account.

If anyone knows, what is the process to upgrade for customers of cricket and other MVNO's?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.0.2

I believe they require you to activate it with one of the major carriers. You may be able to sign up for an account with them, activate it in store, then when you leave call and cancel. I'm in a similar situation. I had AT&T last year when I signed up, then I switched to Straight Talk, so I would like to hear how this works out for you.

I'm on Cricket too and if you are just getting your pre order 7 in the mail, then I think you have to go into a store to initiate a "return" so that you can get the full paid price back and then go thru with purchasing the phone again thru the Apple Upgrade Prog. I'm not 100% on this but am trying to find out.

I get mixed messages at store level. I have a cricket account and want my first time iphone on the upgrade plane. Some team members say yes its possible. others say no. They tried a workaround last night fro me, but it didn't work. I will ask again at another store.
