Sep 9, 2016 12:05 PM in response to babowaby scrutinizer82,I know about that but I'm not interested in setting to a blank. I just want to figure out why it doesn't load graphic content since yesterday or so. Have they changed smth that rendered WebKit engine less capable of doing it? I have no options to update my browser since I'm on the most up-to-date version so I've reached the limit.

Sep 9, 2016 12:26 PM in response to scrutinizer82by Demo,★HelpfulI have no clue if what I am proposing is the reason that you are seeing what you are seeing, but it's just my own half baked theory. I also see that you are running 10.7.5 so this may not be relevant.
I am running 10.6.8 on a late 2008 MacBook Unibody that is running the latest version of Safari that still works in SL, whatever that Safari version is. When I opened Safari the day after the Apple Keynote, I also saw the blank page. I assumed that my version of Safari wasn't capable of using the latest code that website uses in order to render the page properly.
This is a screenshot from my iPad, but this is what I see on my MacBook Pro that is running El Capitan and the very latest version of Safari. This is one of those pages that moves from one slide to the next, to the next and so on.

Sarcasm? I don't reside in Russia, BTW.
The page in question is the main page of Apple's website. I made it my home page on opening a new window that loads it. It used to display a normal window showing all the graphic elements of the main page of Apple.com
Today I got this blank area, usually populated with interactive content that is nowhere to be seen since today.
So in case you haven't still figured out the URL is http://www.apple.com/startpage/
I don't know how to explain with more clarity.

What *I* see with YOUR link (actually resolves to https:www.apple.com)
You have explained what you do normally with clarity
Now, still, please tell what - ANYTHING at all - may have changed on your system or your environment

Nothing changed and I can swear. But as Demo has proposed the deadline coincided with Apple Special Event a day before yesterday, I watched it successfully just two hours after the live streaming, almost immediately after it became available as a recorded video. And yes, I use Lion and Safari 6.1.6 (for SL the latest would be 5.1.10, btw), MacBook Pro mid-2012.

Sep 9, 2016 12:53 PM in response to ChitlinsCCby scrutinizer82,User agent thing didn't work either. I launched Web Inspector, clicked to reveal loading errors and here's what I got:
Warning] Invalid CSS property declaration at: * (ac-globalfooter.built.css, line 1, x4) [Warning] Invalid CSS property declaration at: * (ac-globalnav.built.css, line 1, x4) [Warning] Invalid CSS property declaration at: * (ac-localnav.built.css, line 1, x4)
Conclusion - ?

Sep 9, 2016 1:05 PM in response to scrutinizer82by turingtest2,The CSS error shouldn't be enough to break the page. The error message isn't that helpful as there are 57,247 characters in the only line in that file. Presumably the x4 means there are four errors in total.

Done. No difference. So, I accept it's like beating a dead horse. 2 years after the last official update of Safari for Lion users is apparently too much, heck, even Firefox is dropping support with v.49 onwards. So's the reality but, man, it's so morally depressing cause I wouldn't mind if some web cites refused to work properly but when Apple's own website behaves just like that it's so symbolic.
