Q: iPhoto Events?  I want to CONVERT but NOT to Album...possible?

Those are already albums - when you migrate an iPHoto library your iPhoto events are converted to Photos albums and stored in a folder names "iPHoto Events" - that are no options, that is what happened when you migrated  --  How Photos handles content and metadata from iPhoto and Aperture - Apple Support

Now you can manage those albums as you wish - combining them, deleting them, placing them in different folders or ignoring them

and like all albums they are simply one way of viewing photos - they are not a place or duplicates but simply a view of photos in your ibrary

To delete an album right click (control click) on it and select delete album

These former Events already have been converted to albums. Since that's the case, you can delete these albums/events like any other albums and it will not affect the original files that you see in Photos and All Photos.

If you're worried, try with just one album first.
