Chrome apps not showing in Launchpad

Hey, I have a 2012 Macbook pro. Awhile back the apps I had installed in chrome (Inbox, docs, keep, sheets, gmail, etc) would show up in launchpad and it was super handy

At some point I did a fresh install of OS and it didn't do this, I didn't bother pursuing it. Now after a fresh install to macOS Sierra it's only showing Keep and Calculator out of the 5 or so Chrome apps.

I've reinstalled chrome, removed and added the apps again, etc etc.

I posted on the Google product help forum, but have so far only received one reply suggesting it may by an OS problem, though anything else I install shows up.

Now the chrome apps are installed through chrome, but they do have a place in the applications folder under user/applications/chrome apps. I get why you would argue that because they are extensions for chrome that they wouldn't show up in Launchpad because they are not installed directly to the OS per say, BUT this is something that has worked in the past and a quick google search will provide enough evidence it works, in fact most search results lead you to people wanting to remove them.

Help?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)
