Q: Multiple issues with El Capitan 10.11.6 - 150 machines deployed
Where do I start? Deployed 150 NEW computers in a school setting, iMac 21.5 Late 2015, 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB ram.
1) At log in screen computers go into sleep mode. Computers connected to a directory system (golden triangle, AD/OD)
Problem #1: after waking from sleep mode amber dot indicating Some network accounts available is present even though users can log in ( mostly a visual issue, but interferes with basic diagnostics with AD/OD connectivity.) Confuses end users and some low level techs.
Problem #2: Apple Remote Desktop cannot see active computers in list. Waking them from Sleep does not work. Need to take over computer and click on desktop to wake.
2) When computer logged in and in sleep mode.
Problem #1: When coming out of sleep mode external monitors (smartboards) lose connectivity. No second monitor present.
Problem #2: Programs randomly hang and do not let you quit, restart, log out, force quit etc.
Problem #3: When ARD exits computers go back in to screen saver even though all screen saver functions turned off.
More problems to follow, running out of time. Will post more later.
