Q: How do I downgrade an app?

So I HATE the new Youtube update because it ruined everything. Now the app barely works and crashes a lot. Also, when it does work, the layout of the comments is really annoying. I want the old YouTube back. Someone please tell me how to go back to the old YouTube please no viruses if I have to download something to do it

Since Youtube is not an Apple app, have you checked with them to see if it is possible or even available? Usually, if an app is updated, the older version vanishes - the only possibility is if you had a complete backup you did before you updated the app.

As already pointed out, you don't!

Once a developer updates an app, the previous older version vanishes!

You are left with the newest YouTube update.

If no previous backup to restore earlier app versions, then there is no way to accomplish your task.

How much free data storage space is left on your iPad?

How many apps do you leave running in the background in the iOS App Switcher?

Have you tried a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons?

    Good Luck!

Check Michel's post for lots of excellent suggestions.

And no, unless you have a backup, you cannot "downgrade" an app.
