If the store you are purchasing from is an Authorized Apple Reseller, then yes. However, if they are not, then the Mac isn't new, and no, you cannot purchase AppleCare.
Best of luck,

Yes, even if you purchased Mac Pro from not Apple authorized reseller, if it is new.
To the best of my knowledge, only Apple and Apple Authorized Resellers can sell new Apple hardware.

Where can I purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan or AppleCare+?
The AppleCare Protection Plan and AppleCare+ are available at the Apple Online Store, Apple Retail Stores, and many Apple-authorized resellers and wireless service providers.
Right, but the question was whether or not a Mac that is not purchased from Apple or from an Authorized Apple Reseller can purchase AppleCare. kaz-k stated that even if the Mac was not purchased from an Authorized Apple Reseller, AppleCare could be purchased if the Mac was new. I don't think you can purchase a new Mac from anyone but Apple or an Authorized Apple Reseller.
