Q: itunes playing songs

I like to listen to music on my ipad air2 while traveling.  I always plug in noise canceling ear phones, select songs, hit shuffle and lean back.  With the new itunes, the music stopped after a couple hours and I could not get it going again.  I have the newest OS system and the latest Itunes.  About 460 songs.  Any ideas as to what might have happened.

Thanks

"the music stopped after a couple hours"

    A restart may help.

    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
    3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

And make sure the battery is charged.

That was the first thing I did.  The battery was fine on the ipad and on my headsets.  Itunes just locked up..  I did a cold boot to clear the cache and even let it sit for a while before I turned it back on.  This new version of Itunes, in my opinion, is just so full of bugs.  I anticipate some long flights in the next few weeks and really want to find a solution to this issue.

    Thanks for the thoughts
