Q: Worm swapping artwork, now blocking songs from entering iPhone?
Last month, I was able to make a warranty swap with my iPhone 6 Gold (iOS 9.3.2) after stupidly dropping my old one in a swimming pool. Over the so far 30+ days since obtaining a new model, I've noticed something odd happening to the content on my phone... and this is likely from a spyware-laced mp3 file I accidentally ripped from a very old custom CD that initiated the same problem on one of my more older Apple devices, only this current scenario is worse:
1.) The album artwork per half of my songs has been swapped, with others totally lacking one even though I uploaded the art to 'em.
2.) I can not "Get Info" anymore whenever I choose to edit songs on my iPhone. And this problem snowballed about 3 days into the "artwork swap".
3.) Around the same time "Get Info" was disabled, I can NOT add any new songs from my library onto my phone. This is extremely weird considering I still have up to 7 GB worth of free space.
4.) When given the option of "showing music offline" it's showing corrupt copies of songs that I tried to sync, and even though they don't play they're still in some weird form showing up on my phone through this option.
5.) I received a surprise notification on my phone yesterday that stated; Passcode Requirement, you must change your iPhone unlock passcode within 60 minutes. I was able to troubleshoot this by way of an older forum suggesting to reset the phone and quickly clear history on Safari, which went successful. But the issue of the music is still in motion, and I've tried everything from wiping content clean off my phone and re-loading some of 'em back on... yet still no solution. I may have to come to grips to have my phone turned in to my local Verizon service to have them do something; the only guarantee they've stated to overcome the issue is to totally reset the phone and wipe it clean.
Any other solutions before my phone "goes to heaven for a few" at the shop?
