Q: Apple TV 4 Remote Doesn't Hold Charge

Recently the remote for my Apple TV 4 has started losing all of its charge within a few days after plugging in and charging fully. Previously lasted months between charges. It's still in warranty, so perhaps my best bet is to arrange a call with Apple support for possible replacement. Any other ideas about what I may be doing wrong?

some the microswitch is somehow broken or stuck because of something sticky it would be activating the system constantly and cause the battery to run out as fast as if you were pressing the button continuously

Thanks for your input. Since you confirmed my opinion, and the device is still under warranty, I contacted Apple's help service. They agree something like you describe is probably the problem, and are sending me a replacement remote.

Call me a fanboy, but I must report Apple handled this beautifully. I called Apple Support on Saturday, and by Monday afternoon I had a replacement remote delivered by FedEx. No cost, of course, as long as I return the faulty remote (in the packing and pre-printed FedEx label Apple sent) within ten days.

Apple stuff rarely fails, but good to see their service standard is still excellent when you need it.
