Q: "No Permission" to access files on my Time Machine Back-up
I have recently upgraded the HD on my 2011 Macbook Pro (early) to a new SSD. Having done this, and checked that it was working okay, I restored my computer using Migration Assistant from my external drive. After a while all my files appeared to be safely transferred to the SSD and my system settings etc. were all as they were.
However, once I plugged my external drive back in it would not show up on the desktop or in finder windows. I could un-mount and then re-mount it in Disk Utility and it would show up but when I opened the most recent back-up they files are all locked with a warning triangle and when I click on them, it tells me that I do not have permission to access them (see screenshots).
This is a bit worrying, as I am not sure how to give myself permission and make sure my backup is safe and secure. I have run First Aid on the external drive and it has come back okay.
Can anyone help identify why I cannot access these files and provide some steps about how to re-gain access. I'm feeling worried...
