Q: Certain songs keep disappearing

I've got a relatively small iTunes Library, about 1.15 GB worth of songs, all purchased through the iTunes Store. However, some songs, including some of my favourites, keep disappearing from my iPhone, whilst remaining on my MacBook... The songs aren't listed in the Music app anywhere, and they claim to be "unpurchased" in the iTunes Store. If I make out to buy the song, it tells me "You already have this item" and lets me download it for free...

As far as I can tell, the songs are actually on my phone, as Settings claims that my downloaded music library is 1.18 GB, yet iTunes on my MacBook says the library is 1.12 GB. It makes out that the songs are there when I try to sync them to my phone in iTunes, finishing the sync in less than a second. Looking in the Music library whilst my iPhone is connected to iTunes used to show the missing songs, but now doesn't. They do not show up in the Purchased > Not on this iPhone tab in iTunes Store.

I've tried erasing, resetting, deleting, manual syncing, and signing in and out of iTunes on the iPhone, the typical stuff, but none of it works...

Has anyone got any potential solutions?

FYI, I'm not subscribed to Apple Music.
