I think priority one is probably longer battery life so they can have priority two, a cell radio. Three is probably glucose measurements. Without inventing an entirely new type of sensor they would not be able to do blood pressure unless they developed an watchband blood pressure cuff.

No. You would need a blood pressure cuff or a sensor embedded in your wrist for accurate blood pressure measurements.
