Q: Watch TV Show Playlist

I Wanted to know if I am doing something wrong.  I have a TV show playlist of a show I bought on itunes, I created a playlist with certain episodes on my mac, however when I select the playlist to sync the episodes just go back to the season in the Video's app and no playlist, am I doing something wrong or is this not possible? Any help would be appreciated.
