Q: How to get Apple TV to communicate with iTunes?

My Apple TV will play certain shows I have, but not others. When I try to play a certain show, it will say "Apple TV cannot communicate with the iTunes store. Please try again later". I have reset my Apple TV, unplugged it from the wall, as well as the router. I do not seem to be having issues with the internet, because it will allow me to download. Any help is appreciated!

A:

Apple TV is a streaming device. Other then apps (on the 4th gen) nothing is downloaded/stored

 

Make sure DNS is set to auto (settings - general - network)

If on wifi try ethernet

Test pn another network
