Hi. I have macbook pro early 2013 version. The wifi works and I can connect to 2.4GHz fine. Everytime I switch the macbook to the 5GHz option I can connect to the internet for a few minutes and then it stops working. I can connect to the 5GHz from my iPhone. I would be really grateful for any solutions. Thanks!

hold the option key and click the wifi icon in the upper right menu bar>Open Wireless diagnostic
See if this returns any useful information about your Network
5Ghz is faster but travels a shorter distance. 2.4Ghz is slower but has a further reach through walls etc.
