Sep 10, 2016 8:39 AM in response to bugalby Tesserax,First, are you sure that your MacBook is connected to the Internet? Have you tried another web browser to see if it can access the Internet?
Here are some things you can try:
- Create a new user account. Log out, and then, log in to this new account. Can the web browser access the Internet now?
- While still in your original account, open Terminal.
- Enter the following command at the Terminal prompt: ping -c3 www.apple.com <Return>
- The results should show 3 packets transmitted, 3 packets received, 0.0% packet loss. Is this what you got?
- If not, try the following command instead: ping -c3 104.126.37.85 <Return>. How about now?
