Yes you can sign out and login to the account you want to use, and she can create her library for music she likes, and no your data would not be interfering with each other due to you're using individual accounts, so if you buy for example a Coldplay album it would not download on your Mums account due to it's a separate account.
Instructions on how to have two accounts on one computer (if you need help)
Cheers Matt.

Sep 10, 2016 10:16 AM in response to DefineMattyby Chapman1921,The other question I have now after seeing these tutorials on that subject is that, do I really need to create a new windows account for her? The article states I should create another windows user.

Sep 10, 2016 10:20 AM in response to Chapman1921by DefineMatty,Presuming if you've not found another way to do so, I guess it's best for another windows account, as long as the percipient knows the password. This will always be useful in your case, it surely will not be interfering with anything. Good luck, get back to me if this worked. If anymore enquiries reply to me
Cheers
Matt
