Q: why photos from 3rd party app are downloaded in camera roll and my photo stream

not use those apps, they are required to be put in camera roll or you can never get the photos to a computer

if they put them there right away or not until you export the photos by choice is up to the developer of the app

I Know in whatsapp there is a setting within the app to switch this on/off labelled 'Save incoming media'
