Sep 10, 2016 6:15 AM in response to newcalby Barney-15E,You can try re-indexing Spotlight. That is what is used to find the results.

Sep 10, 2016 6:24 AM in response to newcalby newcal,It hasn't been moved to my privacy list but remains in the list that spotlight can search. This has only happened since updating to IOS 10.11.6 this morning (which incidentally froze my Macbook and I had to do a safe reboot.
These updates always cause problems - I recently updated both my iPad and iPhone 5s to iOS 9.3.5 and all my calendar entries prior to July 2016 have been deleted which is infuriating as I rely on checking back on appointments, etc.

Sep 10, 2016 4:16 PM in response to newcalby Barney-15E,There isn't a list that it "can" search. Only a list that it should not index.
The suggestion wasn't intended for you to check that it wasn't in Privacy, it was to put it in Privacy momentarily, then remove it which causes Spotlight to rebuild the index.
