Q: Transferring cd's to ipod using internet cafe- possible?

I am now traveling and I do not have a laptop with me. I bought a few cd's thatvI would really like to transfer to my ipod. I thought about using an internet cafe that has itunes (or to just download itunes if there isn't). Is that possible to do? How can I do it without getting all of my songs ereased because of some syncing issue?

Thank you,

Itamar

I doubt you would be allowed to install software on an internet cafe's computer. If your device is already set up for manual management then you can, in principle, use any computer that has iTunes installed to add content. Otherwise iTunes will want to erase and reload content from the local library which you will want to avoid.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm pretty sure it's set to manual but not a 100%. Can I check if my ipod is set to manual through the ipod itself? Or by connecting it to a computer? (My friend does have a laptop but it doesn't have a cd drive..aahhh- would have made life easier...)

You can only tell by hooking it up to iTunes. If you get the erase and sync request you'll want to cancel. I suspect the answer is to wait until you get back.
