Q: Bouncing registers a change
After a bounce, or even after closing the bounce prompt without bouncing, Logic more often than not seems to register a change to the project: a dot appears over the red 'close' button and closing the project asks if I want to save changes. However, nothing appears in the Undo History for this. I remember this happening on Logic 9 and it's still here. I would like to know what it is so I can determine if it's something I should try to save before exporting if possible, rather than after. This happens without needing any tweaks to the bounce settings (e.g. format, format settings, ID3 tags, etc).

Logic has an autosave feature which recovers the current state after a crash or abnormal exit of logic. Certain functions force an autosave to occur - of which preparing for a bounce is one of them.
So internally - nothing relevant has changed in logic so you don't need to save. ( that step did not in fact change anything) except files used by autosave recovery.
The little black dot on the other hand is an OS X feature ( not logic) which presents itself when any files have changed but not manually saved. Since logic wrote the autosave files ( and you did not press save in logic) OS X thinks something has changed. While something did change ( the autosave file) - all is fine.
yes this is misleading... But nothing to worry about.
